Dear clients,
We hope you are enjoying the lovely summer. Last week, dad and I attended our annual Cetera Advisor Networks Conference. In the meetings at the conference, we learned a lot of useful industry information we think will help us help you. In particular, the conference highlighted 3 important topics: future healthcare costs, achieving & setting goals, and technology.
One of the breakout sessions revolved around forecasting your future healthcare costs. In the past we would guestimate your healthcare costs based on historical national averages. Now, we have the tools and ability to pinpoint more specifically current and future health issues, your life expectancy and where you are plan to live and come up with a more precise estimate of what your total healthcare cost are going to be in the future. If you are interested in having this analysis done, please give our office a call or send an email and we will send you the Health Care Cost Fact Finder.
The most impressive speaker at the conference was a former member of the Navy Seal Team Six unit. His missions included the raid on Bin Laden’s compound and the saving of Captain Phillips. His stories of comradery, heroism and honor were truly amazing. Throughout his speech, his main theme was to teach us about Murphy’s Law. (What he called Murph’s!) He emphasized in his speech, “what could go wrong, will go wrong”. The main message for us and our business is, when you are planning for a client’s future “Murph’s” are going to happen. That is what life is all about. The key to remember is the road you take may not be the one you originally planned, but if you achieve the ultimate mission/goal you succeed.
The final conference topic was technology. The presenters stressed to us the world of technology is constantly changing and the 21st century advisor needs to be up to date or they will be left behind. As a response to this, we are now officially rolling out our new website, Facebook Page and App. We are very excited to be able to keep you more connected to us via these three platforms. Feel free to visit us at www.RosenblattAdvisors.com and stay connected.
We hope you have a great summer and as always, if you’d like to meet with us to refine your goals, we would love to see you.
Sincerely,
