Broker Check

October 4, 2012

Dear Clients,

Change, some people like it and some people hate it. Depending on how you deal with it determines whether the outcome is positive or negative. Over the next couple of months, we anticipate some changes and want you to be aware and prepare.

The first change we see in the near future is the impending political pressure on taxes. If you watched the debate last week, you know both candidates proposed changes to the current tax code. Whether it is change to individual rates, change to payroll tax rates, or change to deductions – change is coming.  If you are interested in discussing how these changes may affect you specifically, please give our office a call to chat.

With presidential, congressional and general elections right around the corner, there may be changes in leadership.  There is a lot of uncertainty as to who is going to win and what impact the wins will have – new ideas and the altering of old ideas are brought to the forefront.  The election season is an interesting time of year. The Country’s dirty laundry gets thrown out and our Country’s weaknesses get spotlighted.  Historically, though, investment success has depended more on the strength and resilience of the American economy than on which candidate or party holds office. So regardless of who wins, hold on tight, look beyond any negativity and focus your vision on the future.

Change of note, is our name!  For over 25 years, we have successfully run our business through the broker dealer firm Cetera Advisor Networks LLC.  Cetera Advisor Networks LLC has decided to change its name to Cetera Financial Advisors and give us the opportunity to personalize our own business name.  So, Jay and I have decided to change our name to Rosenblatt Advisors.  Nothing changes as far as your relationship with us and nothing changes as far as your relationship with Cetera Advisor Networks LLC. This is simply a name change. Beginning January 1stour new name will be Rosenblatt Advisors “doing business as” Cetera Financial Advisors. If you have any questions about this, please give our office a call.

As referenced in our last letter, we are still on track to move the location of our office. Unfortunately, it has taken a little longer than anticipated due to unforeseen complications with the city planning board.  We now hope to begin renovations at the end of October and be all moved in by the end of the year. We will keep you posted.

Thank you for your continued business. We really appreciate it.  Have a happy holiday season!

Sincerely,

Jay K. Rosenblatt, CFPCraig J. Rosenblatt, CPA
